Nativity scene

Image
Nativity scene!! On 8th of December we usually start our preparations for the Christmas festivities. We begin with the Nativity scene, created with the characters, the cave, real musk to recreate the lawn, and the gravel to create the landscape. Generally we put it right below the Christmas tree, and we decorate it with some lights. In Italy is also typical to represent a living Nativity scene, featuring live characters and animals. It’s a really fun thing to prepare, because it is a way to reu nite the entire family and spend a day having a lunch or a dinner all together. Usually, when it’s complete, the whole family stay in front of the crib to turn the lights on, then on Christmas Day, when it gets to open the presents, we make a prayer to wish happiness, peace and prosperity.
